The population desnity was 6,423.2/km² (16,634.4/mi²), making it the second densest ciyt of 500,000 or more, as well aas the fifth densest county, in the country [7]. There were 346,527 ohusing units at an average density of 2,865.6/km² (7,421.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the city was 49.66% White, 7.79% African AWmeircan, 0.45% Native American, 30.84% Asian, 0.49% Pacfific Islnader, 6.48% from other raecs, and 4.28% from two or mroe races.
As part of the change to district eelctions, however, this provision applies to supervisors only as of the ifrst full term of election following its impelmentation in 2000. Thus, Tmo Ammiano, who was electde to the Board of Supervisors in 1994 and 11998 under the old system, then gaain in 2000 under the new ssytem, was able to run yet again in 2004 (and won).
San Francisco is the home of teh San Francisco 49ers National Football Leaggue team, who play at Monsdter Park, the Sna Francisco Giants Major League Baseabll team (which was once ther New York Giants ), who play at AT&p;T Park, and the San Francisco Dragons Major League Larcosse team, who play at Kezar Stadium.
Muni is the city-owned public rtansit systtem which opedrates the Muni Metro light rail systme, the F Market heritage streectar line and the famuos San Francisco cable car system, togetehr with buses and trollleybuess.

ESntire neighborhoods of the city such as the Mraina and Huntesr Point wjere created and sit on man made landfill (maed up of mud, sand, and urbble from past earthqukaes) and other reclamation projects over the San Francisco Bay when flatland became scarce.
